in the early years of growing up phill lived in hyson green, 10 lumly walk. this consisted of blocks of flats over a wide area. for phill this was an exciting place to live, many places to explore and discover. there was one certain area that had deep concreate holes of all sizes leading into each other,we called this the bowls.this was where kids of all ages would meet up ride their bikes and scateboards and other strange devices there fathers had made for them.if we were lucky we would discover an abandened car that had been dumped and play for hours at driving and dream of the places we would go in it,sadly this was not going anywhere but it was fun and we would spend many a late night pretending. othen we would come home with cuts and scraps and be covered in dirt,to the horror of mum.
